How do I uninstall Elite : Dangerous?

Don't worry I am not leaving the game, I just have been plagued with bugs lately and though a fresh install might sort the problem. Seems very hard to uninstall Elite though, and I am loathe to go the registry or physical delete files route, as I might lose my save. Any advice.

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, I genuinely had no idea where to put it, please move if necessary.


I am on steam btw, so I DL it from there if this makes any difference.

Start the launcher. Select the version of elite you want to uninstall in the list (next to the play button). Click "Options" at the top of the launcher, select "Uninstall". You might want to try verifying files first. Your save is stored on FD's servers.

Open Programs and Features by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Programs, and then clicking Programs and Features.

Select Elite, and then click Uninstall. Some programs include the option to change or repair the program in addition to uninstalling it, but many simply offer the option to uninstall.
If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
