How do people rate the Viper Mk IV?

Because I love it. It's great. tough enough even to survive in a CZ.

Going back on my original (and insane) idea to make my one Cobra Mk IV do everything.

Cobra will do peaceful stuff.

Viper will do shooty-shoot stuff.

Build suggestions?
 
Fun. I prefer other ship's though due to the relatively weak distributer.

EDIT: Only suggestion I have is use medium cannons and small beams, that's really fun. ;)

I get the weak distributor, but I find that in PvE situations, it runs two beams pretty well with good pip management.

I use regular cannon's, and I max the armor. Other than what i specifically do different* it looks good(power management aside :p ), I just prefer to make my hull thick so I don't feel the need to run immediately on hearing "shields offline." :)

EDIT: Added "*" and it = I do that different because mine is strictly a heavy fighter, no cargo and come Horizon all that'll change is adding a SRV. Don't equip a Fuel Scoop unless traveling, and rarely even then.And I never interdict so i dn't have that part.

Yeah, I need the SRV because I'm pretty sure some ground assault missions require scanning from the car after the fight.

With that said, I think multicannons are my best bet on the meds', for fast strafing runs.

That or 2 dumbfire missiles set to a dedicated firegroup(one on each triger) to do "bombing" runs shoting missle rack's in sequence. ;)

The boat still needs dogfighting capacity, so multis' it is.

And the scoop is non-negotiable for my needs.

Figured. The idea I put forth i formulated for my FGS(specifically the two small hardpoints), but figured I'd share. :)

Oh, the Gunship is an outstanding ground attack boat. Probably no better ship for the job.

But I need versatility. My Viper will be in space as much as over planets.
