How do you avoid failing Massacre Missions When a Ceasefire is in Effect?

Hi Commanders,

I've stacked some massacre missions in hopes of getting one final cash-in before they get fixed in 2.3, but I've run into an issue. The particular system I'm in has declared a ceasefire between the two warring factions I picked up massacre missions for.

Does the ceasefire eventually subside and give me a chance to complete my missions, or are they all doomed to fail at this point?

Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, this is a problem that has plagued us for some time. :(

The game will continue to issue these missions even when the ceasefire is in full effect, which adds to the confusion.

All you can do is wait and hope that the ceasefire will lift before your stacked missions time out. We have all lost plenty of $$ over this at one time or another. Despite this being a well known issue, Frontier has yet to formally respond to this problem with any promise of a fix, rebalance of whatever.

Pretty much doomed to fail. But it is not impossible just very very tedious. You can fly out like 20km from the CZ and pick off stragglers. If I were you I would just cut my losses.

Yeah, that's exactly the problem I had - massacre mission offered with ceasefire - wat.

My main issue is I don't want to lose rank with the factions, as that was part of the reason I was investing in these factions in the first place. If it can't be avoided then I'll just try again somewhere else.

Thanks all.

You can go on a murdering spree. But it's slower. Or you can try and trick the CZ in to starting up by causing some crossfire between sides. I've never successfully done that though, I usually got too much agro and had to leave. lol

That sounds entertaining - will the ceasefire actually cease if the two sides start fighting again?

No officially. You just need to trick your enemies in to hitting your friendlies.
Chaff or ECM is needed.

In theory, once the ship that accidentally shot something else is blown up, it'll stop. So you need make make loads of ships hit he wrong thing. Lol

I doubt it's been done before. Just a theory I tried out, but failed.

I just override the cease fire by shooting the still valid targets:

these missions shouldn'T even exist, the point of getting paid for supporting in combat should already be covered by the kills in th CZ itself. Such missions basically do the same that combat zones payouts do and should do affect by nature.

Yep; After going Ruin-Hopping for a week, I came back to make "faster money"...Hard to do these days!
Just spent all morning stacking in Wu Guinagi for Massacre in HIP 107XX. I had checked and made sure that there was still War declared by Landing at a Base; then left to get Missions in Wu...

came back In ..to find out all CZ zones -Lo and Hi Conflict Intensity; are Ceased-Fired; with three of 4 in "Anarchy" with lawless Mission targets.
I decided not to try; as even with Fighters and Winged-up; it's still almost suicide. Has anyone tried to Break the Cease fire in the Hi Intensity Zones with those Capital Ships there? Bet not!

Guess I'll dump the Missions and wait for the Big Mission-Stack nerf to hit...
