How do you complete a mission when the mission menu isn't there?

I don't think its UA related.

The station services menu is a bit buggy at the moment and even if you get the Missions Board, there's no guarantee that you'll be able to hand in your mission.

If there are genune reasons such as UAs and maybe Lockdown states then it'd be handy to retain the menus but have them grayed out or something to indicate that they're present but currently disabled.

Poor design if it's intentional

If the Mission can't be completed for a legitimate game-play design feature, then they should, at the very least, have the courtesy to explain the reason for the inability to complete the mission at the delivery destination so the CMDR isn't sitting there wondering if it's the CMDR's fault or if there's a bug.

Either way another example of why many of us don't do missions anymore. We've heard it every upgrade, "Missions overhauled and fixed next upgrade."

I'll believe it if it actually happens.

Credibility...

I'm thinking it must be a bug related to the fact that it's a cargo delivery to a station that doesn't have a commodities market. The sad thing is I pinned all my hopes on the mission overhaul, and far from being upgraded my first experience is that it's been completely broken.

Kinda related i guess, I just took a > 1 mill hauling mission wherein of course the destination suddenly changed and after arriving here...no one to recv it.

Several times this happened today...with Elite loaded pirates chain interdictions and rail gunning spam with shields from i dont know where...that I had to finally kill only to arrive and ...this.

Do you have the cargo space to receive the reward, I had the same problem the other evening, for a courier mission. As I had not read the mission briefing properly, that I needed 4 tonnes of cargo space free. The deliver option wont show up, I returned to orginal station changed ships and then was able to finish the mission.

It would appear this is the issue I had, my Vulture has zero cargo space, only used as message carrier and bounty hunter, I took my Asp Explorer which has 64T cargo space, and was able to complete the mission, if this is indeed the case, then the missions should show as unavailable if you don't have the required cargo space.

I think the mission hand in not being visible is maybe to do with available cargo space being calculated based on what's currently in the hold rather than after you hand over the mission cargo.

Even so, the hand in should be visible with a warning if you geniunely can't accept a cargo reward with an option to hand it in anyway and not receive that part of the reward.

Going solo doesn't help....much. Some boards are still a little slow.

Are you sure you are at the right destination? I took a mission opened the galaxy map from the mission window and somehow it selected a different destination. Didn't realize it until I got there and tried to turn the goods over and there was no option to. Not sure if a bug or just user error when I did it.

Am I missing something? I've got a delivery mission, but there is no missions section in the menu at the destination. I still have 23h left. Has the method for completing missions changed?

Some missions give you a reward you need cargo for.

Had this happen to me when I was trying to deliver 2 tonnes of cargo - the mission board was there, but no option to make the delivery.

Upon further examination of the mission, I realized that the reward included 4 tonnes of cargo - I only had 2 tonnes total. So I flew to an outfitter and upgraded my cargo hold to 4 tonnes, and when I returned I was given the option to deliver the goods.

Don't know if upgrading my hold fixed it, or if just leaving/returning fixed it.

Great, that was the problem. Insufficient cargo space to receive reward!

Thanks for the heads up :)

To summarise, the mission was active, there had been no change of destination, there was plenty of time left, it was definitely the right place, the mission icons were active on the map at the location I was in and there was nothing unusual in the transactions tab of the ship.

The reward was simple cash payment , the cargo was 16 tonnes, I have 40 tonnes in the Cobra I was using.

There simply wasn't a missions menu at the location.

I was just going to try again but you can't currently play the game at all because the servers are down.

OK I got back on and still can't complete the mission.

Mission abandoned, any chance of my ever buying any of the expansions also abandoned.
