How do you find the total number of pieces you've added in your zoo?

My game has crashed twice within the last 20 minutes. I don't believe my zoo is quite as elaborate as some of the blueprints I've found to download. I do realize that my computer's abilities is a factor, but I really don't think I'm even as detailed at the level found in the career zoos.

Is there a way to find out the total number of pieces placed in a zoo? Not just by group. I keep seeing people talk about a 4,000 piece limit. Is that correct?

Or is it possible that the number of items I've simply subscribed to in Steam can affect my computer's processing? In other words, just by having the blueprints downloaded, not necessarily placed.

I hope I'm making sense...

I don't know for sure, but I suppose that the number of building-pieces your computer can handle is linked to your gpu and cpu and may differ from system to system.
My pc-build is quite weak (because it is quite old), but to my experience the limiting factors are more likely the number of animals and the number of guests. If I exceed 2500 animals or guests, my game will lag like hell and has a tendency to freeze or crash.

Use Multi-select.
Select everything on the map.

Shows in top right corner.

But: Selecting everything in the map increases the chance on lag and probably crashing.

Doesn't a group only "count" as one piece though, when you multi-select? I mean, I know its a difference in workload for a computer if you have one wall or a building of 4000 pieces. But everytime I tried to find out the exact pieces of a group I had to go into edit mode. which wouldn't work if you select several groups. Or is there a function I don't know about yet?

Not sure, I know this is the method in Planet Coaster, can't imagine it being different.
It also displays the amount of buildings, amount of facilities, and one thing more, can't recall what.

Yes, I think groups count as one piece when you select a whole area, so you'd have to check them additionally. If there is an easier method, I'd like to know, too!

Hmm, another thing that has unnecessarily been changed from Planet Coaster to Planet Zoo.

Just a quick update...After I wrote my initial post, I went in and deleted a bunch of blueprints. It seemed to have helped. But, admittedly, I then discovered that my computer was basically yelling at me for an update. Stupid computer...don't ya know I have zoos to build!!!

Anyway, interesting comments. Thanks for the responses and interesting discussion! I hope there will be a simple solution in the future.
