Newcomer / Intro How do you get this hardpoint \ outfitting camera mode?

How do you get this camera mode in this video while outfitting? its not the debug camera.
I can't find anyinfo on it alot better then the default camera for outfitting you can actually see the hardpoints when selected by that video.
Is it the Xbox version?? or an older version of the game? If so why did they take it out???

Thats the old pre-engineers HUD. It still centers the view onto the HP's with the new HUD.

Thx good to know. Can't see where some of my hard points are with how close it zooms in on bigger ships kinda annoying sometimes. Would love that camera mode as an option to choose.

I believe it is still the same in 2.1. Just might be difficult to see on bigger ships.

Alternative could be to 'get to know' your ship with the debug camera and hardpoints deployed (outside of outfitting) or search Google images for one.

looking at hardpoints in outfitting

In outfitting (on PC), when you mouse-over or select a hard-point or Utility mount the camera snaps/zooms to that hard point or utility mount so you can see its position and how the installed weapon will appear when deployed. Unfortunately sometimes, the camera is zoomed so close that you cannot easily see where on the ship that point is located. Per the previous poster: Leave a no-fire zone, stop the ship someplace quiet, deploy the hard-points, switch to the classified camera and check out your ship . . .
