How do you get your pavement to edge like this?

Above is a screen shot from the new trailer. As you can see, there is a pavement kerb with a clear step in between the 2 types of pavement.

How have they done that, as when I try the pavements try and link which then makes the kerb disappear.

Looks like it's a building piece and not part of the pavement, so a custom created kerb. I think one of the roof trims is used in that screenshot. And the grey area isn't pavement by the looks of it: there are no people on it while the red path is very busy. I think those are concrete roof pieces sunk partially in the ground.

it's not conclusive, nor especially pretty, but it has the idea/ah-hah you might need to do a better job than i did.
