Newcomer / Intro How do you hide the cockpit HUD?

Hello all, I've been playing ED for 5 months on my PC now and I love the game. I have 3 friends who I got to join that are my weekly wingman and we have a great time. I'm usually able to find most of the answers to my game questions either from the forums or Google, but I'm having a problem figuring out how to disable the cockpit HUD, which I've seen done in a number of YouTube videos. I've tried all the combinations of CTRL, ALT, SHIFT, and G keys which are referred to on numerous Google search results, but none of them work. I'm not sure if I might have accidentally changed the keybindings for this feature or not. I've checked my controls in options, but aside from the hide HUD in control for the external camera, I can't seem to find any other option for this feature.

Does anyone know where the keybindings for this feature are in controls?

On my PC I use Left Ctrl + Alt + G

Hold down Ctrl and Alt while you press G
Not in sequence one after the other.
