How do you make credits for Anaconda?

Specifically, how do you make more than 4 million/hour? I currently make that much in RES but I calculated if I wanted to decently fit an Anaconda (around 200-300 million), I would need to be at RES for over 50 hours pew pewing large ship spawns.

Can you make more than 4 million per hour flying to 1 station to dock, press a few buttons, undock, fly to another system and repeat (this is called trading)? Or are RES the best way at the moment? Please share your method(s).

Trading in a T9 or Cargo Annie A-B you will make around 6mil per hour on a decent route. Be warned its a grind just hauling and most will either be watching something on another screen while doing it unless your lucky enough to have a Rift or enjoy SC flight.

Got a ton of credits from community goals. As soon as you get to the Python/Clipper level you can pretty much get top 5% for any CG with some time investment and get relevant bonuses to get the initial ship.

I then outfitted for trading (Including discounted ship cost a trading build came to ~140mil). Not yet got cash for combat build. Yeah, that powerplant is expensive... :)

Edit: I'd advise bounty hunting. I've stored my trading Conda for a combat python since I find trading too dull atm. I think bounty hunting has more profit with CG's but trading is obviously more reliable/safe...

It's called work... up from barely nothing, to middle class, to stupid money class, but without the silver spoon... No entitlements here. Oh, and the math mentioned above, along with the calculations to become a Conda owner, are correct.

It just takes time and patience.

If you see it as a race, your gaming time will feel like an endless grind, no matter what you do.

I personally like to trade for some days, then fight for some days, then do CGs for some days, with some traveling around in between. I never, ever, get bored.

But if you want to outfit your Anaconda (assuming you already got one) quickly ( more or less), nothing beats trading in a decent route. Even then, it will not be fast, since many anaconda components are very, very expensive.

I've been playing since day one and I'm still to get an A powerplat for it (getting close).

the price tag of this game is 70$, that usually indicates that its a game that is meant to be played for more than 50 hours.

My journey has been Sidey-Adder-Vulture-Clipper-Python to the Type-9. From Sidey - Clipper I did 54M CR in RES sites, 10M in exploring and 10M in trading... I bought the game when it was first released to the public, so months ago and was only able to get to the Type 9 last week. I play about 10 hours a week, married with 3 kids, so I don't spend a lot of time playing. Once I got the space cow, within this week, I have made 35M Cr from trading. I make over 1M Cr per round trip, with 500T cargo. I know many people say that trading is a grind, but thus far it is not as much a grind as the 54M Cr's from RES. Also, I can now afford other ships, I miss the Clipper the most of out of all my other ships, or I can A spec the space cow. I will wait for 1.3 to hit and I might try the other ships out. Either way, the space cow will stay forever (unless I get an anaconda).

not wishing to sound silly , but ... what do you enjoy about the game ?
.
Do you Enjoy Trading ?
Do you enjoy npc Bounty hunting in RES
Are you interested in exploration
Interested in Achieving Elite Rank in any of those areas ?
wanting to get maximum Rank with Empire or Federation .. possibly both .
do you want to get the Permits for as many Systems as possible.
...
Perhaps some other goals ?? .... the thing is to get the most fun out of the game I believe you need more of an interest than just getting the Credits for an Anaconda
becoming Elite in exploration would get you the credits for one
becoming Dangerous in Combat rank would achieve the same result
the Key is to Earn the credits doing the things you Enjoy ... otherwise is it really worth the time or effort

4 mil an hr? that is amazing!. That means in around 30 hrs you will be able to afford the single most expensive ship in the game (though outfitting it will take a while ;) )

that sounds perfect to me!. esp if you mix in some CGs which can often pay 10mil + boosts.

I get around 2.5 - 3mil per hr on my python trade route and am more than happy with it. I would love to know your 4 mil locations :D

true the Rift makes a HUGE difference to making the mundane interesting. I have also lined up a whole range of sci fi audio books to listen to.

So far got through mote in gods eye, enders game, dune, 1984 and am half way into 2001.

The hard way is how. I bounty hunt myself to T-6, rare trades to Asp and Clipper, normal trades to Python and then straight to Anaconda. Nowadays you can bounty hunt to Clipper and go straight to normal trades afterward. You can even get some time off and do CG as long as you just go for top 40% or so.

I used exactly this method, no trading. Have collected 340mil in bounties so far, it doesn't seem like a grind because I enjoy it and don't ever spend more than a couple of hours out in a res.

Can I ask what's the RUSH to get Anaconda? It's not that good a ship and an easy target for any competent combat pilot.

Is that 4 mill an hour in a RES in the live game - not the beta?

There is a line in the changelog for 1.3 beta as follows;

- Updated all resource extraction scenario CSM's to heavily reduce the number of NPC's

I'm guessing that means fewer NPCs in a RES for 1.3 which would presumably affect the current earning rate.

4 million an hour in RES...I must have tried the wrong RES zones. I've most likely made 3 million in an hour before but if I counted all the time wasted with bad spawning zones, and finding the places, it would work out as much less - per hour.
Only thing I've tried that consistently makes 4 million an hour is a T-9 with a hull full of precious metals (and some other stuff for the return journey). I can't mentally or physically bring myself to go to RES zones anymore, they are so boring with zero challenge. I actually think going back and forth in a Type 9 with no shields is more risky and more stimulating too. You can't get a decent fight in a RES for the thousand cops shooting up your target as well. The only fun part is when some territorial player arrives with his - fresh out of the packet - Asp or vulture and thinks he can ram you with c-class shields :) I'd go as far as saying that the only decent fight you can get with NPC's at the moment is if you fight 3 anacondas in SSS (and even then the cops can turn up) or if you stick around and fight the cops after accidently hitting a clean ship.
Therefore, I second Morbad's method!

I earned my anaconda by trading little by little and upgrading to the next size ship as I earned more. Started out doing 'starter' missions transporting a couple of tons back & forth in a sidewinder until I made enough for a hauler and then started doing rare runs until I earned enough for a cobra, used that for rares until I had enough for a T6 and started 'bulk' trading before following the upgrade path of T6 > ASP > T7 > Clipper > Python > T9 and then finally to the anaconda.

It might seem like a long grind but it really isn't that bad, I don't even play everyday and yet still manage to progress by plodding along nicely.
