All my ships have an avian theme. My Viper that I learned to fight in is called Thoth (ibis headed Egyptian god of knowledge and wisdom), my Vulture is Nevermore (quoth the raven), which is what my enemies will be once it's through with them, my exploconda is the Talons Reach, because it goes everywhere, my mining python is Roc, which is funny because it mostly mines ice, not rocks, and my "use-to-be-an-explorer" asp was originally named Talon, but then I keep redesigning it because I can't figure out a role for it, so now its Phoenix, which is oddly more appropriate.
I plan to eventually get a chieftain, which I shall name Thunderbird (for the mythological one, not the puppets), an AX krait named Horus (falcon headed Egyptian god who defended the heavens and earth) and I'll probably re-use the name Talon for a corvette at some point, so that I'll at least have a combat ship in all 3 sizes.
Might get something for installation assaults, but I duno what yet and I have no names picked out for it. If I ever plan to leave the game forever I might buy a phantom to head out forever into the black and never return and name it Huma (a mythological Persian bird said to never alight upon the ground).
