I am using the Thrustmaster Warthog with the preprogrammed control scheme already set up in Elite Dangerous. It will not let me engage my FSD drive because it tells me my hard points/scoop/gear deployed. I do have my scoop and landing gear retracted but I can't retract my hard points. I looked it the control options but can't seem to find what button or keyboard function retracts the hard points. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.

I have tried that but it isn't working. It just fires the weapon.

I would suggest you go to options/controls and see what it's set to. It could be OP doesn't deploy hard points with the "deploy hard points" button. He may just hit the trigger to deploy them.
Esc / Options / Controls / Weapons: scroll down and see what its set to.
For me its Joy 4 which is the left thumb

I used to have that setting.
Until I accidentally squeezed the joystick fire trigger inside a spaceport!
Been there done that, but with a friend very close in front of me! Was trying to show him what my Adder looked like with weapons deployed. Instead he got a demonstration of how quickly the station will evaporate an Adder!

Think I bound mine to "u" on the keyboard. It seems to be blank as regards KB by default though.
Presumably a design feature of the game that, while pressing a fire button deploys your weapons, pressing the FSD doesn't return the favour by automatically retracting.
