How do you roll in frontier elite 2

im playing the frontier from 1992 and im trying to learn the controls. anyone have a page or manual I cant seem to find it with google.

also how do you roll in frontier? < > is yaw A, Z is pitch but what is roll?

I hope it doesn't break the rules to paste that here, I'm not a pirate/thief, just trying to help. I'd just like to state that I've always paid for my Elite games, all of them. BBC tape then disk, Speccy, C64,Amiga etc etc.

Frontier Elite 2 didn't have separate yaw / roll controls. You have to go into the options and choose to use original Elite controls if you want roll.

Personally I found it easiest to just use pitch and yaw and fly with the mouse.

well my NVidia shield doesn't have a mouse. just a Bluetooth keyboard. im emulating dosbox.

how do get level with the ground when your landing then? it just does it automatically like docking?

I pretty much used auto pilot every where. Even in combat. Buy a strong enough ship to joust them then finish them off with a good ramming. I wasnt a fan of the flight model. Glad its back to original style.

Your ship should automatically stay level on the roll axis, it's just the pitch axis you have to worry about.

Of course, you could use autopilot and not worry about it.
