How do you spot active CGs?

Is it just me having difficulty working out which Galnet stories relate to Active CGs?

I can't always be bothered to read all the news items, there's a lot of filler. I find myself having to come to the Forums to work out what CGs are on, which is less than ideal from an immersion point of view. Any tips for working out what news stories are about CGs?

Would be real nice IMO if there was a little symbol on the news item denoting an active GC.

There aren't really that much stories... If you read Galnet once a day, there will be at most one or two new stories, many days actually none.

One minute per day is what it takes.

Think of the forum like if you could actually get out of your ship when docked, and going to a bar to have a chat with other commanders.

I take your point but even when I read everything I'm not always clear on whats a CG and whats not. Even less clear on what is active. What am I looking for exactly?

Fair enough I know its not the end of the world but still a little bit of signposting in game wouldn't go amiss. Would it be completely crazy for them to show up on the galactic map?

Indeed it would be cool, at least the galnet story could have a button to open the map on a system you clicked in the news story itself.

But actually, the map still needs a lot o work. It needs better search and filtering functions, needs in-game notes, needs bookmarks, needs route plotting beyond just setting a destination, etc...

Maybe one day... For now, the forum is your best shot. And it ins't that lore disruptive, there would probably be some kind of communication channel in the Pilots Federation.

The CG news items already have a link button to the relevant system at the bottom of the page.
Click on it and it takes you to the system in the gal map.
