Newcomer / Intro How do you start over?

Ok I just started playing. I have restarted several times looking for random missions that I would be able to accomplish. I had thought I would be able to start from scratch by restarting in selecting a new random mission. To my surprise I found a mission that I had selected earlier but I didn't know I had. In addition, after about the 4 try I no longer start at my starting space port. I have a ship in a another star system with heat damage and 2 missions. What do I have to do to start with a clean slate? Blow up my ship, or reinstall the game?

There really is no reason to start over..as long as you have ships and money, starting over is rather pointless. However if you want, you can delete your save from the main menu under options, click "Clear Save"

It sounds like you don't have a full understanding of how the game works though..as there really is no reason to start over based on what you've said.
