How do you use the SVR Scarab to get minerals on a planet

Shoot mineral deposits in geological signals, target mineral, open cargo scoop, drive over mineral.

Your Scarab scanner will show deposits in the lower half of the band - head towards these until the rock shows on the radar display, then as mentioned above, shoot & scoop

Upper half scanner blobs mean something man-made.

For minerals you want outcrops, meteorites, chondrites and mesosiderites. When you find the rock in question shoot it and then use the cargo scoop to collect the fragments.

If you need raw materials (phosphorus, manganese, arsenic) for engineering your FSD, then you can collect them as described earlier. Meta-alloys for Felicity is little different.
