Powerplay How does Hudson Intel collection work?

This may sound lame but...
Having hauled some supplies around for several hours trying to find a fortification site that wasn't already chock full, I decided to try the prep task...
'Bring consignments of Hudson's restricted Intel from systems to be prepared, to contacts in our control systems....'

So, second target on the list is Meenates, currently now showing 13951 prep, and I flew over there a while back, went to two different ports in turn (just in case I was somehow at 'the wrong one' - not that one was specified anywhere - and got hold of my power contact whos ays I can hand nominations over if I'd like, but there's no mention anywhere I can see of Hudson's intel. Where is it? How do I collect it? Or is this just a case of the in game info is wrong, and Meenates isn't ripe for overthrow or something?

I tried going with the reddit group lists, but that seems not to have updated for 3 days (according to the page I saw) and the first 3 places I tried to fortify (from the reddit list) were all well oversubscribed before I got there, so I swapped to using in game info....

Powerplay is an interesting idea, I'm not that sure that the information telling you how to play it is quite up to spec though.....I've found it quite frustrating so far in the short time I've been giving it a go. Thanks for anyone setting me straight....

I'd love to help, but I found Power Play frustrating, and this is the nicest way I can put it. Between the lack of info on how anything worked and the endless interdictions from rival faction NPC I just gave it up.

Ok, just found in the reddit a mention of preparation nomination points - I rather suspect that you can't collect intel until you've got some of these points to spend, and you don't get them until you've got out of your noob status and moved up a rank.... so not available until the payday at the end of the first week you joined the faction, at a guess.

It looks like you spend the nomination points at the target station, which then causes one ton of intel to appear for you to take back to a friendly (ie controlled) system to cash in. Guess I'd best stick to fortifying and getting my Cobra an interdictor death ray blaster gun thingy to try a spot of undermining. (I think).

Hudson only had 48 CC this week. No preparations for him.

Being able to nominate systems despite not being able to expand to them is a bug.

Well, I have the exact same question than the OP ...
I went to meenates and nothing here ...

I have actually something like 60 merits points ... Youhou ... I got them by bringing Garrisons reinforcement. And it costed me something like 400.000 C...

So... I should miss something but I can't found the answer from all the video / tuto I've seen on Powerplay...

My question is, how is it possible to reach the higher ranks ? There are no missions and nothing to do except the garrisons delivery, and you need to spend 100.000 / 30min to get 10 of them... It looks just impossible to get enough Credits / time to reach 750 merits points ...

How can I make merits points ? Where should I go what can I do ?

Very disappointed for now :(

If you're new in the power forget the intel, chances are you're doing more harm than good. Instead get your merits by fortifying, undermining and expanding (when we get some good systems to expand.)

Fortify: Go to Nanomam, load up garrison supplies and haul them to control systems that have not yet been fortified. Don't bother fortifying over 100%, it's a waste of time.
Undermine: Go to enemy control systems and inderdict and destroy their powerplay ships (imperial supply and such.) Each destroyed ship gives you 30 merits when you return them to Hudson control system. We are allied with Winters and have non agression pact with Mahon, so concentrate on imperial powers. Our current undermining target is Arissa Lavigny-Duval.
Expand: Go to the system listed on expansion tab (we have currently none) and look for military strikes. You get merits for every ship destroyed.

Yeah !
Thank you Khemsa, It's very clear, concise and precise :)
I like it.
I will give this a try tonight for sure :)
Since I just come back to elite after a long break period (before 1.2) I'm playing on solo play for now.
Is it possible to undermine on solo play ?

Thank you dude.
