How does one find a listening post?

I have a question. Which systems are more prone to having listening posts spawning in them? If so which types of systems have them. If not then tell me the best way to finding them.

You just jump from random system to random system and pray you come across one. Good luck commander!

They are visible in the navigation panel once you jump into a system. You don't have to look for USS and such. You just need to be in the right system.

 

[Cyclop]

You have to be within 1000Ls of one to have it popp up in the navigation panel. Make sure your filter has show Point of interest on as well.
