How does one set a player faction as allied in squadron... its been awhile.

I cannot figure out how to set a minor faction, as the option is greyed out in the management window.
It's been awhile, my squadron is independent and i do not want to ally with a major power, not sure if that is suppose to be a thing.

I think you need to set it from the time you create the faction; you can't do it after the fact.

Though... it's been a while for me too.

It should be possible to set at any time you haven't already set it.
You can only set it to factions you're Allied with (and if you did set a Power, ones with the same allegiance as that) but it should otherwise be straightforward.

Cool... remember you can't change after the fact, but couldn't remember if you could set after.

No, it's as Ian said - it is editable until you select one and save. Then you can't change the faction.

As mentioned above, your reputation with independent faction must be "Allied" before you're able to select it there.
