How does PZ translate stuff

Based on personal experience, some of the translations for Japanese localisation are best described as lacking.....

Ikr, like seriously, some of the animal names for Japanese localisation aren't the ones that aren't academically accurate to say the least. My friend from Japan has been finding it quite a nuisance.

Short answer is: bad, they do it bad.
Spanish translation has some inconsistencies and also big errors, especially with plant and animal names. Some plant names are even swapped. The only thing they did better was translating "Timber wolf" as "McKenzie wolf" so we don't have duplicated wolves.
I gotta say, I’ve never noticed bigger issues with the German translations (granted I barely ever read anything other than the names of items so I can search for them in the search bar), there occasionally are words in lowercase that would start with an uppercase letter but honestly… there is a lot of native speakers who don’t do this perfectly (German is unnecessarily complicated in that regard) and usually it doesn’t really matter or by context is clear what is meant, never found something confusing in the German version!
