How does the INARA Companion work?

I just stumbled upon INARA and it looks pretty good and apparently it works with the Xbox version of ED. I thought it pulled data from the server but apparently it doesn't? Can anyone tell me how it works please?

I use it for finding systems nearby with ships and ship modules I'm looking for. I also use it to find the closest Imperial/Federation/Alliance systems to wherever I'm at. Good for turning in this KWS bounties.


Also, they made this fancy sig that I still can't quite figure out how to change the things on, lol.

Nope, it's all manual for us Xboxers, although you can cut-and-paste your ship details from either Coriolis.io and edshipyard.com (both highly recommended if you've not used them either).

I didn't know Inara was a dedicated wing site, I thought it was just a ED resource website.

It's one of the columns of information against each CMDR on the wing roster.
