How, *exactly* do cosmetiecs work?..

Example, if I use some Arx to buy a paint job while on my Anaconda, is that particular paint job unlocked across all my ships, or just the Anaconda? Same for decals etc. If I buy the Pirate (spikey) decals does it just unlock that pack across all my ships, or only the active ship I purchased it with?

This is how they worked for me:

I'm not spending money on a paint job I can't even see while flying

No Transaction

Oh, a free paint job, might as well try it out...meh, I'll just buy one I like

Transaction

That would look a lot better with another spoiler, ship kits aren't that much

Transaction

What? I can only buy this hideous gold one for a limited time? Better buy every one available!

Transaction

I've grown tired of these same five or six options, time for something else

Transaction

That aloe plant would look better with a cactus next to it

Transaction

I actually like the default FC model best, but that hammer head looking one might grow on me

Transaction

I've gotten a lot of free Arx, might as well buy some to supplement the balance

Transaction

Can't decide which exhaust color I like the best, better buy them all

Transaction

I'm beginning to wonder if it will ever end.

U have to buy for each ship 😤

It's going to be a bit awkward for me, after Odysee is released, cos I'm going to be asking all sorts of noobish questions about how to actually buy Arx.

Starting with where to buy them.

Starting with where to buy them.
you will find a link in the main menus. Then again the issue tracker and support links are in there as well, and no-one can find them either :) perils of people rushing to hit Play, despite the game being ded for years ;)

Edit: Actually it's even more prominent in the resume menu, maybe they should have coloured it Blue ;)

Working as Intended :D

Paintjobs and ship kits: Per vehicle ie: Anaconda or SRV. So an Anaconda paintjob is only on an Anaconda, and to get the Asp Explorer one you have to buy that one separately. If you bought a 2nd Anaconda, you can still use that paintjob on both Anacondas.
COVAS, decals and bobbleheads: account wide. So if you buy a bobblehead (for example) you can use it on any ship.

Oh yes, the dim distant past and blue tiles...

Aren't there still some forumites still complaining about that blue tile? The psychological damage must have been extreme I guess :ROFLMAO:
I think they're too busy campaigning about how the bobble heads wobble in a 0g spacecraft, and how they dont quite wobble with the right kind of wibble or wobble on a 6.432543g planet, and the fact that bobble heads wibblingness isnt effected by the gravitational pull of their own imerrrrshhhiiiooonnn bubble

and yes wibblingness is a word pertaining to how wibblly something is on the wobbly scale, naturally its measured in wibbles. i.e this bobble head had the wibble factor of 12wibbles per minute.
