How far can you go with a full loaded fuel tank?

Hello,

a couple of weeks ago i tested the distance i can go with my Adder set to 'Fastest route'
My Adder has a max jump distance of 25.04 Ly - http://www.edshipyard.com/#/L=60f,mpV0Wg0mI,2-5K5K4s2C3m5K5A,4zW0Ky7OW2UI2jw
I choose 2 scoopable :p stars with a distance of 24.5 ly and jumped between them till i run out of fuel.
It have been exactly 5 ( = 122.5 Ly) jumps and the fuel tank was empty. There was nothing left, but the fuel in the secondary tank.
In the 'Economic Mode' the range is over 250 Ly according to the Galaxy Map.
Do you have any numbers on other ships?

The formula for the amount of fuel used for a jump is:

Fuel Cost = Coefficient * (Distance * (Mass / Optimised Mass))^Power (from https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?p=643461#post643461)

and you can get the values for the parameters from Elite Shipyard. Using these you can work out the max distance available for each ship at max jump range.

Economy mode depends mostly on where in the galaxy you are and hence how close the stars are to each other. Close to the core, you can literally go thousands of LY without refuelling if you really wanted to, but it would take days or even weeks to get anywhere. As an example, a stripped down Anaconda could go over 4,000 LY without refuelling if the jumps were less than 5 LY. At 3 LY per jump (possible near the core) that becomes nearly 10,000 LY.... OTOH, out in the areas with few stars the 'economy' route might not be any different to the 'fastest' one.
