17,726,82 ly to sol atm

Im bit up above plane, as this place founded and scaned about 250 black holes systems in total(just black holes, aint really intrested in anything else than them). Still there is lots of them. Hate to sc more than 100k just for one black hole scan(as like with any holes around sol), so had to find place where you can jump into one. Im already sick of few days just scaning them, so im going to see Stg A* wich is only 9,404,97 ly away. After Stg A* gonna back for sold data. Explorer Anaconda with 40,60ly range its very good. Make such travels much more faster. Been of few systems with ur name OP.

Also lave radio instead game music its way much better :D
Would love have it ingame!

Really great to see so many explorers enjoying themselves:)

I've started my return leg from the 'secret' scary nebula currently 27,000ly from Sol and diving down to the level plain, still 1,500ly up though :)

1,500 light years out in a vague attempt to get to Sag A in my Asp. Been out from inhabited space for a week now (with a three day break in between) so no NPCs now and it's just relaxing doing scans, making small bits of progress on my journey and just taking in the scenery. I somewhat doubt I'm going to get to Sag A given my current progress but I think I'll end up with a shed load of data and the satisfaction of having my name tagged against a bunch of planets & stars. Would love to be able to name some of them I would add.

I haven't been playing long but I'm loving the game. I originally spawned somewhere around the Eravate system and spent time in that area but now I've made my way to the SOL system. Currently hanging around between the Epsilon Indi system and SOL. I'd like to see some space eye candy though. Is there any nebulas or other space attractions to visit in this game?

I'm only about 600ly out right now, been as far as 1500 and still able to be the first to some planets, which, is very cool! I find if I don't take direct routes, I am finding undiscovered stars all over- which I am enjoying while working my way up to elite!

I'm not sure how far from Sol I am, but I'm about 8000 ly out of Meticuli, my home base, on my way to the Skaudai-with-too-many-"A's" nebula. Except I got within 3000 ly and realized I was only 2000 ly from Lagoon, so I diverted to look at that first, instead, even though it took me directly away from my objective. I haven't found anything terribly exciting on this jaunt. Still looking for my first earthlike and my first black hole. I've pushed my Cobra's jump range up to about 27 ly, so I'm making pretty good time. I am hoping this expedition will earn enough that I can finally get into a decently-fitted Asp for my pilgrimage to Sgr A*.

I'm headed for a very strange thing I noticed in SKAUDE sector. I thought "it's only 9,000ly away, let's GO!"

I hope to report back eventually, if I can get there and back in one piece.

Phew, all these long distance explorers. My farthest has been 5-6k ly in the Perseus arm. :p

Maybe I should refit and take a trip around the rim or something.

I'm almost about to enter the last category. I'm currently 29k ly from Sol, 4.5k past Sagittarius A, 1700 ly below the galactic plane.
I'm on my way to the outer rim after making a 45 degree left turn at Sagittarius A. (Easy to keep direction aligning with the grid that way, no better reason)
I ran into this dense region of neutron stars, black holes, so many I'm now hopping between Wolf-Rayet, Carbon and Herbig A/B stars with the occasional Neutron star or Black hole in between, now and then diverting to a super giant or O class star to refuel. There are plenty white dwarfs as well, so much to see.

That's just a small 100 ly section, filtered to only show the 'rare' stars.
