How far out have you seen a Starport?

494.49 ly away from SOL, its called Sothis, population 100k
other than that ive seen nothing else. im probably going to plan a journey there, im only like 200ly away aswell.
Im in no doubt there is further ones though..

Easy way to find places is to go into the gal map, set view to 'Map' and set show by population size. you can filter to show all the tiny systems on the edge of inhabited space.

Edit - Sothis is a good find Nearest system is Ceos, then nothing for hundreds of LY's in any direction

I am confused. You have physically seen a starport from 494.49 light years away? I either don't understand your question or you mistakenly used light years (LY) and not light seconds (LS). If you are talking about from the map you can see them infinitally far away. If you are talking about physically seeing them I am sure it is in the MM range and not the LS range.

He's talking about remote inhabited systems. Sothis is literally in the middle of nowhere, only other populated system nearby is Ceos.

Edit - The location of those two systems are perfect explorer bases.

If you go into the galaxy map, it shows you the population, so there must be atleast one starport there, plus there are a heap of populated systems around it, but only on one side, its like the edge of civilization, but im sure there are others do not know about.

and that minimum population thing was what i was using lol

Ah...he means how far out from Sol does the bubble go...ok..I get it now.

Edit: I have found a system that on the galaxy map doesn't show as inhabited but was. I forget what it was..should have written that one down.

Nice find! Looks like there's a highway of 8 or so populated systems leading out there too.

Another good isolated system is Aditi, i don't think it's as far out as Sothis, but it's got no close neighbours. It's below the rest of the bubble, on the way to Barnard's Loop. Plus point is that it has a decent population and two large starports, for those out in Anacondas and the like.
