How far out is a planet?

I am looking a the system view trying to work out how far out a certain station is.

When I look at the planet it tells me that it's "semi major axis" is 0.56au. Is this it's distance from the sun? What's this in light seconds? How to I convert au to ls?

1 AU ~ 500 Ls, semi major axis is approx. the radius of the orbit so that's a good estimation of the distance from the sun the planet orbits around.

You multiply it by 499 ( so say 500 for round numbers) so that would be 280ls roughly.

Yes it's something like 480LS but be carreful with binary planets it may tell you the distance to the other planet instead.
