How Hard?!!

I got stuck on the 4th mission, I asked for help about manoeuvring and sure enough that fixed it I was playing with a joypad and it was insane hard to target for me, then I got stuck on anaconda mission, I bought a t-flight hotas and bang killed it 2nd time, for me hotas is way easier than keyboard/mouse or joypad

It's all a matter of practice :)! I also found it very difficult when I started but I can breeze through now (though I've never finished incursion). I think FD were very wise in giving premium betas practice well in advance of the multiplayer part

Single player teaches the basics of the gameplay. The rest comes with experience. Incursion is really easy for me now.

I manage to get to the last (?) three in Incursion, but they blow me up every time. By the that point my ship is pretty much banged up, and I find very difficult fight three opponents in normal circumstances, so after a few other fights it is tough.
I lost track where they are and from where they are shooting at me.

Distribute power to the systems when you get hammered by the enemies to make your shields stronger and able to absorb more damage. Redistribute it to the weapons for faster cooling. Power to the engines is not that much important (only to chase Cobras). So basically, when you are attacked by enemies you can have 3-4 pips power distributed to shields, when you attack enemies 3-4 pips to weapons.

I went through the Cobra + Imperial fighters mission (Incursion?) last night. After several failed attempts at the stealthy approach I noticed that at mission start only the Cobra was showing as hostile, the other three were neutral. So, nail the Cobra first then go after the others. Worked like a treat and I was even more surprised to that each time I attacked an Imperial only that one went hostile, the others stayed neutral. Made picking them off very easy :D

Most probably you are referring to Predator and Prey mission. Cobra - is a mercenary ship that protects Federal fighters from you. That is why it is marked as hostile. Ideally you have to destroy Federal fighters without attracting Cobra's attention.

Incursion - is scenario where you have to deal with 10 waves of enemies.
