How I cut my losses in the nick of time!

Going to some less...nice...system to try and find reactive armor to deliver to my contractor, I find myself interdicted.

"You dont want to be dead and I dont want to be poor" popped up on the coms followed by "Empty your hold".

At the time I was carrying 3 ton Coffee which I had not sold at the past station due to less demand then I had anticipated.
Still, 3 tons of Coffee is worth more then I was willing to just give away so I pause for a few moments, waiting to see if I could get in a position to shoot by the assailant and forcing them to turn around to persue, earning me a few moments of time.

But they had already positioned themselves close to my six, and I guess they had a feeling something was up and before I could react lasers was eating away at my shield.

Power to engines, and a boost with FAoff and im away at the maximum speed the sidewinder will muster!
But being both outnumbered and outequipped, I find the assailant in pursuit and their lasers well in range still eating away on my shield.
I turn on FA and tries some evasive jiggling back n forth, significantly decreasing their hits but my shield was already eaten away and now it shuts down from the oppressive stress by the laser barrage.

Sparks start to fly as My poor ship starts breaking apart, and what feels like seconds later warnings start to flash as Im losing control of various systems.

Knowing this is most likely the death of me and my ship, but still with a sealed hull and working engines, I slap the button and eject that damn coffee...
For a few moments, that feels like minutes, the lasers continue to harass my ship, then suddenly stop.
My pursuers had let me run, focusing on their easily earned goods.

Some distance away I stop and track the area on radar. The pirates group up around my drifting cargo and soon after it disappears.
For a moment Im wondering if the pirates will take chase or leave to whatever rundown bar they emerged from, but I decide not to find out.

Frameshift engaged, and im off to station.
Repairs ran me down about 1500 and the lost cargo was probably 3500-4000 but Im alive, my ship is like new thanks to the wonderful crew at dahan station, and im more then ever eager to get my fighting wings so I can go out and stop this piracy madness thats is breaking the galaxy into chaos!

I got jumped by a human player yesterday - scum killed me just for the heck of it. No warning just a message saying Time to Die or some such. Merchant bankers (rhyming slang) should not be allowed in game - kill them when you see them. And this does mean you Haywood Poole.....
