How is it that none of these excellent ideas, from ToCoSo, that have been posted for quite a while now, have not been able to inspire FD in improving the game with complex rewarding gameplay?
I reckon the answer to that is probably: Because they're complex, as you point out
Doesn't mean he may not have influenced ongoing work though, just we haven't seen the output yet. (It was interesting when this post dropped just before M Brookes announced the mission avatars tho, and he mentioned seeing it as a happy coincidence, so maybe there's more accidental synergy going on
ToCo always does a great job of considering existing mechanisms and how they could be built out, let's just hope he's tickled the devs into thinking the same way, and there's stuff in the works
