What have you learned about 2.1 in the week it's been "out"? - What I'm hoping for is "hints and tips", rather than critique, as there is enough of that in other threads. I'm hoping this thread will help some people struggling with some of the aspects of the new bits...
I've learned;
Pirates are much, much nastier than they used to be. Police ships are rather more effective.
Having a bounty on your head means actually something. If it's a sizable bounty, it will usually mean death. Don't get bounties - pay them off when you do.
Watch who you're taking missions from, and who you're firing on. Your reputation has a lot to say about how much hassle you get from police and pirates and it's now pretty significant.
Don't underestimate NPCs because they're flying inexpensive ships. Some of them are very good pilots.
Shields are less effective than they used to be. Fly armoured ships. Or fast ships. Fill empty space with HRPS, and considering B-Grade modules for survivability. There really isn't much a thing as a "shield tank" any more.
Flying around with your entire worldly weather in the cargo hold in a dodgy area is a good way to be relieved of your cargo, your ship, your credit balance and your vital signs. Don't carry more than you need.
More than anything. You now need to use your brain. Think carefully before making decisions.
