how is the management aspect of this game?

Hello i don't have planet coster and was looking for someone that could explain in a short way how the management part of the game works. Most of the comments i see about this game are all about the powerfull tools to make the park the way you want it.

I enjoy more the management part then designing the park; Do you think I could like it?

I enjoy games like prison architect, cities skylines, jurassic park OG, etc. The trailer for the new JW park game brought me here.

The management park is still very basic and does need improving. But it's no worse than Cities Skylines in terms of a very basic management game until you have a big city.

I am more of management player and still fine this game enjoyable. Basically Management evolves maintaining staff and routes as well as setting prices for rides. I am a big fan of Frontier and Planet Coaster but I wait till the game is cheaper before you delve in. It is more of a creative tool which is top notch than a pure management sim.

How much would you consider a fair price? What value would you attribute other games such as cities skylines.

TBF for me the price for me " normally matters little", the reason being the scarcity of strategy titles. This year was released, endless space 2, DLC for paradox games and DLC for warhammer 1. I "missed" (been busy with life the middle of his year) steel division and dawn of war 3. This month releases XCom2 DLC, next month is warhammer 2 and october DLC for halo wars 2. In a nutshell this year had 4 new games and around 7 DLC for old games. I can afford to buy a new game each month but most of the times there aren't new games to buy and i just go and buy old ones.
This year I got into crusader kings 2, starcraft 2, off world trading company and galactic civilizations 3. I wish there were more good strategy titles so i could be more picky.

If you are just looking for management then you will probably be disappointed and better to look elsewhere for now. If you like creativity then this is the game for you

The park managment is very improvable! It's not just the highlight of the game. I personally miss the possibillity to buy/rent lands as well as some more difficult challenges.
I hope, they will improve that a.s.a.p. ;)

Personally, I don't play Planet Coaster a lot beause the gameplay is too much basic. It's not really worse than previous RCT, but it's definitely not better. There's too much lacking (too much basic career mode, AI problems example staff leaving for no obvious reasons, we can't buy land, we don't have scenario editor, there's no weather, no real challenges, etc.). They don't really add anything about management part.

The building tools, creativity and ambiance are amazing. The game is beautiful looking and you really have ambiance of real park.

So, it depends on how much is management important for you.

This is unfortunatley a design your own park game, there is no management what so ever, on that side its a 0 star game. the biggest failure and dissapointment of the century.

Like others said management is not different from any other game. It's not a lot deeper than any other simulation games.
It's mostly a visual treat, I think the game gives a real good vibe if you like building theme parks, management is more some tweaking now and then, it's not a full time job.

As with all management games there is always is a point where the game lost his challenges and earning money becomes easier.

My Challenge park with 1,500 guests receives an steady monthly income with all guests and staff happy.
Now, is this because the game has bad management or is it because I am a very good manager?

Let's just say it's as basic as can be. We all are still hoping for some improvements here, but in the end it is just basic management like every other (big) management game.

I am a total fan of amusement parks and the way they theme their rides, so basic management is fine for me as it is for now. But I understand people want some things changed.

Sunboo is just being bitter so ignore him.

I wouldn't call it a 0 star management game. It's just a average management game like the other ones out there.

What parts of management do you actually like?
That way it's more easier to say whether it fits your alley.

PC is a beautiful parkbuilder and rollercoaster designer. If you like that aspect I can recommend the game.

There is some most basic management gameplay, too, but it's weak at best. Even if the balancing + AI was better the management part would still be disappointing.

If you're looking for management I'd take a look at Parkitect, Prison Architect or Factorio instead.
