In what way is Odyssey "broken"? Maybe for a year or so after launch but now? Not sure what you're expecting from it this year from what's been announced, there are some new features coming (powerplay 2.0, new ships, culmination of the Thargoid war) but it seems unlikely at this point anything is going to change significantly in the Odyssey game design or performance.
Given the new features and ongoing storyline I would suggest giving Odyssey another try.
Also there's a specific forum for xbox

Broken may be the wrong word. Incomplete, buggy and unoptimized may be a better description.
My biggest pet peeve is the broken lighting system. Elite, to me, is a space exploration game first and foremost. It seems that light emissions are often totally disabled in many areas. Nebula colors do not reflect on the surfaces of nearby planets, stellar lighting does not extend more than a couple light seconds from host stars and everything, everywhere in the galaxy, is bathed in the same neutral white light. To me it makes the game just look flat, kills the space ambiance and I just do not want to play the game.
Visually, Legacy blows Odyssey away. The only thing that I can think of that looks better in O is atmospheric sunsets, but only because Legacy has no atmospheric planets. A few days ago I jumped into O and was hyperdicted near Maia. The green energy beam the thargoids use to scan ships had no emissive effect on any of the ship’s interior. In Legacy it lights up all the panels in green.
I realize I am probably in a minority to care so much about the lighting, and the game is totally playable even without lighting. However, I still think it’s unacceptable. If a bug was causing the sky box to appear hot pink and the stars to be % signs, you could still play the game but it wouldn’t be acceptable.
Also, the game is absolutely unoptimized. I have a very beefy gaming PC that greatly exceeds the recommended specs. In 4K, my graphics card sounds like a jet engine while I get 35-45 fps with several micro freezes, while in station interiors and combat zones.
These things have been completely ignored while Fdev has focused about 80% of resources on the thargoid war. Something that me, and over 60% of other players, have zero interest in.
However, there is hope that things are about to change. From my understanding the thargoid war is going to wind down and more attention is going to be paid to other areas of the game. I am hoping some positive changes come.
