How it's done!

Another video from Isinona. Showing you how exactly how small fighters take out bigger targets. Just a great display of amazing flying and superior tactics.

And people say this game is boring! If FD could get the NPCs to simulate some of this behaviour with co-op missions, I don't think anyone would be complaining.

This is why player bounties would be cool.

It could be posted on Galnet - you could specify a particular CMDR, if you wanted, or make it a general thing.

The bounty gets put up from the balance of the person putting it up - and they could place a time limit for how long the bounty is posted, and how much time you have to collect.

EG - Bounty active for 72hrs, 36hrs time given to collect once accepted.

Actually - player offered missions (via some sort of mission builder) in general would be cool...

That's some fun looking stuff in that vid...

Cool video. I'd just like to know how he keeps continually boosting even when it continually says "Boost Failed Insufficient Energy in Capacitor".

Isinona's gameplay captures are always the best. Not only is that one hell of a pilot but the way the text tells the story as it goes is pretty compelling. I don't actually keep up with any other ED players captures personally. Just Isi.

He's not... Boost only activates once he has enough bars, but he keeps pressing it to get on the boost ASAP, so quite often, boost will activate a button press after the message appears.

Right, but he's able to boost every 4-5 seconds. Is there a module that allows you to boost quicker because it seems I have to wait 10 seconds or so before I can boost again.

Appropriately sized power plant (undersizing can prevent boost) and a top end power distribution system - that controls the rate of recovery for power systems, including weapons and engines.

Nope, but the lower your total power usage is (shown on the Module screen) the faster it will recharge. You need a large power plant and big distributor to achieve this, in addition to watching your total weight. I'm finding there's a bit of an art to fine-tuning everything to mesh properly. Make sure weight, power demand etc. is below maximums helps a lot in so many ways.
My Vipey with everything turned on uses 78% and if I turn off a few things before combat, I can get it below 70% usage.

Hope this helps, Good Hunting CMDRS!

He also at times had 4 pips to engines - recharges capacitors faster

Another tip (so to speak) is to install a shield generator that's far in excess of what you need. The hull mass of my Eagle is around 75T but the shield generator is rated for 160T ... Whilst you don't get double the strength of the shielding it is enhanced somewhat. (Found this nugget in a dev post recently, I think from Mike)

I always see people refering to Isinona as "he", but is there any evidence to suggest this is accurate?
I've always considered Isinona to be a woman (the name sounds feminine to me) - not that it really matters either way. :)
