How long do you think Premium Beta will last?

You guys are aware that htye have to release 20 more ships first right ? its like each ship each week ...
surely its too early for these types of threads already, PB only been out 4 days for goodness sake......
I think the OP is asking purely because there's no point in him buying it if standard beta kicks off in a fortnight. I don't think he's being impatient, just counting his pennies
I don't think they'll add any more than maybe 2 or 3 more ships in the premium and regular beta's. They might not even do that and decide that the ships we currently have is enough and we can wait until the game is finished before they add the rest. I'd personally like to see some more systems added to the beta before they add more ships.

I don't want to plop down $150 just to find out Standard Beta is starting in 2 weeks for half the price.

You asked for my thoughts, so here you go. Alpha, Premium Beta, Beta etc are about backing the game. It's about what Frontier get from you in terms of support, both monetary and in terms of testing and feedback.
So the question is more, how much do you want to support the game? If not at $150, then wait and back at a level that is appropriate for you. Try thinking about it in terms of what you are going to contribute as support, not what you are getting for your money.
It's only guesswork at the moment. The facts are the Kickstarter estimated one month each for the alpha, premium beta and standard beta stages. You would therefore think that each of these stages would last at least one month, otherwise the people who backed at that level will feel shortchanged. The Alpha actually lasted nearly six months, so we know they can be a lot longer than a month.
One thing I will say is that I would guess the end of premium beta will be telegraphed in the same way that the end of alpha was, and as with alpha there will be a cut-off date for new orders which will be a good month before the the end of the phase. A fixed cut-off date is good for everybody: for customers it solves your information issue, and for Frontier I would imagine it is a good business decision.
I personally would guess ~3 months for the premium beta phase.
