How long do you think....?

Just kidding. I'm not sure they're still supporting DK2 now really since they can't get 0.7 or 0.8 working. One of the Bohemia Interactive (take on mars/Arma) posted on steam that they wouldn't be supporting any oculus because the runtimes are now direct mode only. He said he understood why OculusVR needed to do that but it was a shame because no support for any Bohemia titles running on DX9. So I asked the dev why a game that's still in beta (take on mars) is using the outdated DX9 engine? I suggested instead of blaming OculusVR they instead code on a more modern API given DX11 was around for years and DX12 is here now. So I'm wondering what API Elite is using? DX11 according to the spec.

I don't see a reason to drop support for DK2 until it's no longer compatible with the latest SDK (which would be an Oculus decision, not Frontier's).

The DK2, by necessity, will support v1.0 of the SDK. I doubt they'll be in any rush to obsolete it (if ever).

Agree with Bakkster, since DK2 will support SDK/runtime 1.0 i see no reason it would stop working with ED for a long time.
