How long does it take for Universal Cartographics to credit discoveries?

Just wondering. I discovered all the planets in a system, post 1.1, with no previous discoverer being listed on the system map. I sold the data to UC, although there was a glitch where 6 planets were missing from the third star, and some of the surface scans for the other planets weren't listed. This was more than 24 hours ago and so far, no credit for discovery, but maybe I'm not clear on which systems are eligible for discovery credits. Are systems with space stations not eligible, even if it's a trinary system and the stations are only orbiting one of the stars?

Should I ticket FD about the missing planets from my scan data? (They all appear on the system map, all with surface data).

each downtime it updates at least until they automated it, so that would be once a week on tuesdays.

I got credit the moment I sold the data for each body I scanned and when I went to system map my name was there immediately on one of the systems I tested with. You did scan the bodies didn't you, not just ping the discovery scanner?

Ditto - I just sold some data and am going back the same route, and my tag is on the star map 10 mins after selling the data.

You get the credit immediately.

It is buggy as can be, though. So the OPs issue is probably that he hit the bug where he did not get the credit he should. Am about to open a thread to advertise the problems, so you can keep an eye open for it.

Thanks all. Yes, I spent probably 2 hours flying around the entire system, spotting every planet by eye, targeting and scanning each Unknown body once discovered to get the detailed surface data (I have a basic discovery scanner and a detailed surface scanner). I'm pretty sure I got most of them from the system map (panning to its "edges"). 34 bodies in all, not including belt clusters.

Sounds like I should put a ticket in.

I scanned some today and when sold, I received instant credit.

Then I proceeded to do some more in other systems, and received zero credit. I tried selling data individually the 2nd attempt (first time I sold individually then "sell all on page" and it worked)

Tip: there is no point scanning asteroid belts, since 0 CR is rewarded and I'm pretty sure you won't be credited (since multiple belts are shown as a single graphic in map)
