Another hour wasted using the Obsidian Ant Method... Needless to say - it doesn't work!

Quitting this and going to do some Pew Pew instead. Far more productive!

But yes. Visit the barnicle sites... or the Alien ruins (when new) players interacted. At the barnicle sites right now, its like a camp fire with drunken revelers running about. You dont see that anywhere else in game. At least not to this scale.

Just saying that maybe its a sign that ED needs a community hotspot. Im hoping Spacelegs and space stations will be this.

One can hope.

What's needed is a deployable habitation module with a bar. We can leave the SRV's outside while we have a drink.

Nah.... Me neither. I'll be heading back to the bubble tonight. You can only stare at the ground for so long before the boredom becomes too severe to endure any longer. Guess I'll find myself a combat CG and do some Pew Pew instead ;)

I have had three encounters, one per day at the OI-T C3-7 B3 site. When it happened, it always happened soon after landing. This site can get dark though. You can also make some money by harvestings the barnacles for Meta-Alloys (mode switch to get more) and selling them at Darnielle's Progress in Maia. In fact, this will earn more than mining.

I saw it at least 6 times, 4 of which using the method devised by CMDR Publicstaticvoid (look it up). Never got "beamed up" though, even sitting right up against the barnacle.

It's probably been stated elsewhere already, but in case it hasn't:
- No need to camp if you have a few wingbuddies. Just make sure some of you cycle to supercruise / in out of the SRV.
A session change like that seems to poke the monster.
It may take a few Random seconds or minutes until it appears. You may have to keep cycling for several times until the trigger happen.

We've done this with great success for Canonn recording events.
Make sense, the trigger need to be attached to a initiator (session change). However it seems to depend on a random delay after it's been triggered.

Have not been as successful doing it alone.
Having more people on the ground + doing the session changes seems to increase the odds dramatically.
