How long to fly to Colonia?

As I wrote in the title, I'd like to know how much time I would need to go from Diaguandri System to Colonia?

22000 Ly is pretty far. Will be uprading my ASPX with Level 4 Increased FSD Range Engineering.

With Level one it's doing ~33Ly.

So I guess it will have 40 - 45 Ly jump range

Hard to say, everyone has their own speed. Mine varies wildly during trips depending the mood I'm in.

Simplest way to get an idea is plot a 1,000 ly stretch and see how long it takes you. Multiply by 22.

The unknown is wether the plotter cooperates in dense clusters in 2.2.

At that 40-45ly jump range, with 6A fuel scoops, it would take about 10 hours best time jump honking. Smaller, or lower rated scoops would add to that, as would actually scanning anything along the way.

I have an AspX with a 55ly jump range, 6A fuel scoop and fastest route plotting, only scanning interesting things along the way, I can push 1,000ly an hour

22,000Ly at 33Ly is 666 jumps (22000/33). You'll never perfectly align so I usually add 10% for good measure so we are looking at about 730 jumps give or take. At 1 jump per minute which is a steady travelling rate you'll need 12 hours (730/60). Add time on depending on how much scanning you plan to do.

Repeat calculation for any other jump range :)

Stick to the bubble for another 5 weeks or so, massaging the Engineers, then come along in the Colonia Christmas Carrier Convoy. Flight plan is to depart the bubble on December 2. and arrive at Jaques at January 2. Slots for all roles still avaible, but they're going fast, so sign up soon :D.

In theory you can manage 80 jumps an hour. From that you can work out your theoretical maximum speed.

I can scoop while FSD cools, check system map while FSD is charging and manage pretty close to max rate. If I see nice things I cancel FSD charge and go and see them.

Well I managed it in 10hrs with a 42ly ship, covering approx 3000ly per hour at best. But that wasn't fun, just buckyballing it as fast as I could. For a more relaxed trip I'd budget a week or two.

I left the bubble soon after 2.1 dropped (and losing several ships to the new AI and weapons) heading for Sag A*.

I got to Jaques yesterday.....

I think I'm going to join there. Thinking about taking the Beluga I just got today and play as Carrier.
Thanks for the nice tip.

meets my experience.

i don't scan a lot.

Agreed, I did about 1 jump per minute in my 20ly mining rig Anaconda. Not my best choice ever, engineering it before I left would probably have been sensible but hey you live and learn...I'll let you do the maths but it took a LONG time.

My last visit at Jaques in an ASP (modded FSD) took me 10hrs one way with just a little stop here and there from time to time.
I spent exactly a weekend going there and back. (After I realized beta is on it's way and I was afraid to be stuck out there or right in the middle of it)

edit: no sightseeing, just nature breaks :D, managed to complete Empire Season 1 and quie some episodes of Family guy :D

I Buckyballed it there and back for one of the first CGs that popped up there, in a RNGneered 'Conda with a full cargo hold, around 25LY jump range, if I remember correctly. Honk, scoop, jump, all the way there and back, took about 24 hours altogether, or 7-10 days realtime, I forget the exact numbers. Make sure you've got a long music playlist, and a warning: The space madness is real...

Took me 2-3 days in a 39ly iCutter. I was playing very hard too, about 2-3k ly an hour but took frequent breaks. Decided I'll probably never do it again.

its one of those things you do in small batches. Never attempt a 24 hour play session youll crash into to many stars from space madness

Once you get to the neutrons you can either take your time and collect the scan data or hurl yourself off the jet streams. make sure to avoid white dwarfs at all costs. Starting at Jaques I managed to get 800 Ly from the Great Annihilator with not a scratch on my hull. Now I'm down to 85 % and have used 9 heat sinks with only three remaining.

The neutron stars are pretty safe, just throttle back upon entering the system, scan the star and then maneuver into the spiral. Miss the gravity well or you'll run into trouble. Get your charge and on your way to the next one. You can hop skip and jump from the neutron's at about 17000 to 18000 from Sol, making the final stretch from the neutrons doable in just over an hour. Thing is all that juicey scan data kinda slows you down.
