How long will the deluxe version be available?

Do we know yet if the deluxe version will be available after the beta period? Or will that go away after the beta? I'm not so concerned about the beta (as I won't have time to really dig into the game over the next two weeks), but I really don't want to miss out on the opportunity to get the bonus animals!

Somebody wants to get the game for me as an "early Christmas gift," but they want to wait until the game is actually released.

I assume that after the game comes out, they'll get rid of the deluxe edition version on steam, but in return, they'll let you upgrade the normal version to the deluxe edition via dlc.

That is my understanding as well. I think it was exactly like that with JWE.
Deluxe edition on preorder and after that you were able to buy the deluxe dinos as a DLC

I don't see why they'd get rid of it. I imagine they'd keep it so that people can still get the extra animals, they'd just remove any mention of the beta.

Yes, but thez still need to give people the opportunity to obtain the deluxe animals later on.
Or at least I would consider it good manners.

I would imagine the same for PZ - Deluxe will stay available - or you can but the Deluxe Animal Pack for slightly more (in fact quite a lot more if it's like JWE )

The key I think is the soundtrack as that's been sold separately for PC since deluxe was removed, JWE didn't have one as far as I know?
