I'm an active moderator on the sub-reddit www.reddit.com/r/elitedangerous.

Our stats so for March look like this:

unique visitors: 6,972 page views: 39,451

I'm sure at least one of those has signed up having read something. Equally, there are many other regular posters there such as Pecisk, ZeeWolf and Totallity (not sure who that is in the Alpha) who can claim a part in the subreddit's success! Join us if you haven't already subscribed, it's like your Elite: Dangerous headlines delivered to your desktop by the hour...

Actually, Kroy, you can count me as one. I was bouncing around Reddit on random on day and hit the Elite Dangerous subreddit, at which point my jaw tapped the floor. I signed up for Beta less than 24 hours after that.

I've pushed ED out to anyone I know that has similar interests, but I haven't had any definite responses yet. Still a lot of wait & see over some of the other gameplay elements.

Health alert!

I tried to educate them but its like smacking your head against a brick wall, so I gave up lol

Really? You've smacked your head against a brick wall? Why would you do that?! Doesn't sound very healthy to me. I'm concerned for your state of mind...

Shouldn't someone flag a moderator or something? I'm busy right now...

Actively recruited? None. Once it's nailed the network problems I can start telling more people about it, but right now I can't sell a product with potential problems.. ;)

Doc poked Amos with a stick at which point he grunted. "It's allright Globusdiablo. He's OK. " Doc wandered back to his table. Sat down and proceeded to finish his drink. ;)

nice one guys that made me laugh :)

I've set up a distribution list at work and have 11 people in the group. I've managed to persuade (bore to death) them all to back ED to different levels from Premium Beta to Pre-Purchase.

I send out regular emails to them with any interesting info; Newsletters, DDF Topics, Lave Radio updates.

I even signed by 11 year old :)

None really.
It's too early and Alpha is astronomically expensive for anyone that isn't a hardcore fan.
Beta 1 and 2 will be too expensive too.

Even £30 at release is in the upper tiers of what my friends are willing to pay for a PC game.
Maybe when/if it drops to around £15 they may be interested.

For a _PC_ game? Do you mean that your friends are willing to pay for a triple A game for a console, but not to pay full price (sub triple A btw) for a PC-game?

That is a little depressing. I hope it's not very common.

That is one hell of an extrapolation from what he actually said.
