How many security guards needed?

So I decided to check the game out after the updates, and played a couple of scenarios. The first winter one is giving me a hard time right now, because the security guard loans are about as high as my total ride earnings. I currently have about 10 security guards in a park that otherwise needs 1 Janitor and 1 Handyman. There are 4 rides in it. Still every other second the message "a guest has been robbed". What the ❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎? I can't make any security cameras either, and can't research them. Pretty frustrating,.
To restate the question, how many guards are am I supposed to hire? Is it per guest, per ride, or how does that work? Some kind of tutorial that gives you a vague idea about what is going on gameplay-wise would be nice...

Security IMO could use some balancing, theres some bugs sometimes too. I think there are some scenarios where you cannot unlock/research cameras, which kind of sucks. Not sure if thats intended or not though.

It is recommended that you place cameras all over your park. If a thief is within range of a camera, they will usually not pickpocket. But if you do not have a camera around, they can pickpocket right in front of security guards, especially if its crowded. Cameras have a range of about 30m (i think?) so you have to guess how far apart to place them (make a 30m wide path and eyeball it)

Then you can place a couple guards at your park entrance, on patrol to stay in that area, and maybe release another couple guards around on free roam. That should keep pickpockets to a minimum while also keeping your costs from going too high. But dont get worried if the occasional pick pocket happens, it wont kill your park rating and if you catch the pickpocket might even increase guest happiness

Thiefs who are not committing crimes/running from security will sometimes spend money on shops

I won't ask what it contains, nor when it's likely to drop, I like the anticipation [big grin]
