How much are Non-Thargoid Sampls worth?

Just curious, but I have heard that certain creatures found in notable stellar phenome can have samples extracted with the research limpet. but I have wondered How much the sell for? are they worth taking a trip out and getting samples, or is it not worth the effort?

wow.. so you mean, a whole new bunch of new creatures are discovered, ones that humanity has never seen arrive. but the Thargoid and guardian stuff is still worth more to them? where has science gone these days?

They should add a Biology contact, one who pays more per item depending on how far away it was obtained (if it is literally next door, then yeah 10k, but if it is many lightyears away they pay over 1M per item) that ought to give at least some incentive ;)

Alternatively, some advanced crafting items could consist of these in some way, I don't quite know what yet. but at least it's another incentive.

The whole "science" side of the game is non-existent, really.

We've got tools to take samples, can get Thargoid Hearts and other bizzare commodities, and now we can get samples from various spacial critters,,, and the end of the line for them is a couple thousand in credits. The tissue samples are used for the Guardian Ruins, of course, but I'd love to see some BGS states (like Outbreak, for example, or even new states) perhaps result in really high prices for these goods, as scientists look to them for new strains of drugs or other positive outcomes.

Or have them fetch a high price at a particular engineer, who also requires several samples as an unlock.

Given the amount of complaints I see about the few uses of these samples (well, one - Ram Tah mission #2) I think that would be fun for the three of us who know how to get 'em. Everyone else would lose their minds (again).

.... Let's do it FDev! :)

Bit of an aside, but it has confused me how Ram-Tah doesn't pay big for Guardian Artefacts, and Palin likewise for Thargoid. Yeah, there's those nerfed missions when you dock at Maia, but they're not that great anyway.

At the very least, since Guardian (and now Thargoid) tech is legal at stations, we could stand to have a few well-paid missions in any station across the galaxy.

I certainly agree these things should pay more, especially since Ram Tah is the centre of research, it would make sense that he would provide incentive to funnel as much material as possible his way. over 1M per item is not an overwhelming ask, it is just large enough that Players will prioritize him over everyone else.

Didn't Ram Tah have a few CGs for Guardian Artifacts and the last of which was the last of his budget?

I'd rather see the demand for the different alien tech be connected to Economies and the BGS.

Military surface economies with a demand for Guardian relics to produce the AX weapons they sell.

Systems with Guardian Tech Brokers with Higher demands for Guardian stuff

Systems with Human tech brokers higher demand for Thargoid parts

As suggested above Science and Reserach contacts that are only active in say the investment state who will buy different samples and artifacts depending on their economy type be it guardian tech for High tech to Agricultural Economies buying samples from the space borne life that might make a future food source to refineries buying Thargoid resin and such

It would be amazing it collecting a sample of space borne life or a guardian relic or such could be added to the famous explorer passenger missions as wrinkles
