Fiction How much can I rely on these sources of lore? Please help?

I'm trying to arrange a baseline story for my E: D alliance to be more in-line with E: D world, but I'm kind of stuck. I've watched every video with Michael Brookes (including Fiction Diaries), and searched all over the internet - here is what I've found:

  1. http://lotf.co.uk/fe2_gazetteer.html
  2. http://wiki.alioth.net/index.php/Timeline
  3. http://www.jades.org/3255.htm

I don't think I should doubt the information found under the first link - it's a long gone early history of Elite world and doesn't present much implications with it. There are some very controversial descriptions of star-systems under that time-line. Do I trust only the ones made by David Braben? Or trust no one?

The second one seems to be mashing together the worlds of other games based on Elite, so I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to tell me which events would not happen in E: D world. Maybe just give me a clue on after what date it goes to completely different direction to what "actually happened" in E: D world? Should I ignore just the inferred events?

The third one - I'm not sure what to make of it. Any advice?

UPD:

These missions have actually happened in FFE - that's a fact. Will E: D lore omit any of these events?

At this stage I would ignore most of the latter two.

I may be able to help via PM with specific questions. But bear in mind it'll be up to Frontier if they want to release more official information.

I guess that the choices to be made in FFE towards the end presents 2 distinct timelines anyway...

(Warning: FFE SPOILER follows for those few remaining persons who haven't Google'd and don't want the end-of-game to be revealed!)
one timeline is where a certain alien race was saved and so intended to visit human space in peace, and the other where they've probably been wiped out...
It would probably make more sense for FD to follow the 2nd scenario and play it out with the potiential of infrequent future encounters from a distrustful and vengeful group of survivors - or decide that they are in fact, gone... but then raise the question, were they alone in that great expanse of space?

I would like to think you could rely on the first of your options. A lot of what has been said or done so far fits in with it.
