How much did you earn from long distance passenger missions?

And how much more do you need? :O

I've been doing passenger missions on and off since they were launched. And like many, i took advantage of the long range missions after FD upped the payouts. They helped fund my Type 10.

I did 4 runs to Medb (or is it Mebd?). Averaged 100 million per run, so a total of about 400 million for me.

I stopped when i had enough, so i don't need any more credits now anyway for the forseeable future.

How much did you earn, and how much more would you have needed to be happy?

NOTE!: This is not a thread to debate whether it was a good idea or not to nerf the missions. There are other threads discussing that. This is just to see how much people got and think they still need.

I think I've averaged about 250 million total gained from ferrying ~ 1900 passengers (not # of passenger missions) since passengers were implemented in horizons. I never did get around to take advantage of those multiple tens of millions per trip. Most of my current gameplay involves background powerplay & bgs, so passenger missions has kind of been on the side for me. I'd say my personal funding stash comes mostly from salvage for allied factions, bounty hunting/RES, massacre/CZs, & clean up system pirate lords for factions over time. Sure I could use more "billions" , but mainly for contributing to powerplay campaigns, i.e. fast-tracking, otherwise I have enough to keep my cutter maintained as I fly in it 95% of the time.

I'd already stopped at 3 billion. Happy with that, and it'll help me fulfill my goals for the next year or so.

Around 5 billion but I've been doing it since before it was public knowledge. That puts me up to a nice 17 or so billion. Would have been nice to get back on at some point to round it up to 20 but no time for gaming right now.

I made a billionin a week which I then distributed (via meta alloys) to 3 other players I play with who dont have the time or inclination to grind.
This proved a really good idea as now they play most nights in their A rated Pythons allowing me some friends to pew pew with.

None, the longest Distance Passenger Transport Missions around Colonia would be 30000Ls and I've never flown one into that location.

So many billions I never have to worry about needing credits again. LMAO at this 'fix'... Pity they can't fix the actual real bugs...

Which means most of the Elite experience is dead. Once it was about paying your way and having to be careful what you did, now everything is reduced to a cheap shooter and how many rebuys you have.

I did about 3 weeks worth. Made about 700m cr dont have alot of time to play so was perfect for me to get some cr to finally after 3 or 4 years get a conda and ARate it and some rebuys and spare cr. Was going to stop once i hit 1.2b cr. I was only using it as a temp job. Mostly i went from station to station etc to stack them as the couple times i board hoped i found it boring and kind of wrong.

I think ED offers two different games. One is "How many credits can I get?"; the other is "How much fun flying a spaceship can I have?" They're not entirely incompatible but you can't always play them both at the same time.

And many people ignore one or the other.

For me fun of flying a spaceship is bailing out when I feel I will be overtaken. For me fun of flying combat capable ship is knowing when I have to retreat, and when I have to come back to deal a blow to my enemy.

People getting jail free cards because of billions basically want to play different game. Their excuse is that there is no other game in market. But then please don't whine if devs stick to their original premise and design.

600M, just what I needed for a dedicated anti-thargoid warship.

Btw : it's not as much as one think/h, once you factor in getting the rep up with the factions.

I didn't do any.

I stopped caring about credits when I got my Cobra III, and I've long considered passenger missions the worst of the "You could buy your own ship for that!" rewards. Still enjoy them, especially sightseeing missions, but I'm not about to go out of my way to milk the really broken ones.
