How much do you lose in part exchange

I have an ASP worth about 14 million, and I fancy trying out the vulture for a bit but plan to switch back to the ASP for trading later.

How much money do you lose for making an exchange? Or should I carry on trading until I can afford both at the same time?

I would like to swop between ships rather than having ships spread over the galaxy but if it cost a lot then I wont.

Many thanks

You lose 10% of the value of the ship, but if you sell the modules individually first you get full price for them. I would keep the asp, I bought a vulture and went back to the asp in less than a day. Wait until you can afford both is what I would do.

Part exchange/sale costs 10% of ship value. So as parts can be exchanged for no loss - better to drop everything down to low spec parts before the sale of a ship (because that price is based on parts too()

it should be 10% butl due to the crying it can vary

You lose 10% for selling the ship so in theory you lose 1.4 million

BUT

if you sell a module you get the full price back so if you strip your asp first you'll get 8 million with no loss and about 6.4million at 10% so around 640k "loss"

so many people cried about how hard it made the game and it would now be impossible to play that the developers caved in and have reversed the 10% loss on modules but have said it may return in some form or another.

The vulture is only good for combat too, its no good for trading, so if you decide you want to trade back up to your asp, you are pretty much forced to combat your way back up.
