How much longer does bata have?

I'm considering purchasing beta access simply to try out ships and engineer mods (fish is pretty easy to get). How much longer does it have? If it's only a couple days I won't bother, but if over a week I will. Do current credits transfer over? 10% of a 3000000cr ship is still a lot.

I have read it is around the 18th to 20th, but I have no idea where they got the source for that. Beta takes a snapshot of your progress 2 weeks prior, so whatever credits you had then will be what you have there.

Remember that you will have beta access to all updates in season 2 as well.

1. We are led to believe 22 Oct is live day
2. Separate entirely. Beta is unconnected to your main game. Snapshot from a month or so ago. But anything done in beta stays in beta.

Well. Your state as of a few weeks back does if you buy into it now.

And... there are changes to costs of things, permit access etc to allow testing

Well, one hint may be the Cg that just started. Nickel, Shield Emitters and Focus Crystals...

Unless you are keen to help with testing and won't get phazed when it all turns to custard then you are fine to buy it. But really, waiting a couple of weeks isn't too bad - and beta is full of bugs at this point. I mean FULL of bugs! For me it is unplayable because of the audio issues, but then, I am an audiophile so it is really important to me. The eye candy is fine and all but you'll see it all in a couple of weeks anyway. I'd hate for you to spend the money and then when the 18th (or whatever) rolls around you are left questioning yourself - "why did I bother?"

I only have one reason for considering it, trying new ships/engineer mods.
