How much would a Elite Universe Credit be in GBP or USD?

Didn't think of the impact a massive horde or swarm of Miners / Bounty Hunters / Pirates could cause in the ED Universe. They could be the ED's equivalent to a plague of locusts.

Just found this on EvE's introduction of the PLEX, in effect a player can purchase a PLEX and sell or trade it to another player and it can be cashed in for 30 days play time in the EvE universe.

Keeping the cash within the EvE universe and rewarding time rich players.

But how would this work with ED, I didn't think ED was going to use a subscription based model?

It's the age old time is money issue, and it's going to happen directly or indirectly.

You can't stop it from happening and therefore should build it into the game in such a way that the games' players and Frontier benefit not some sweatshop (filled with illegal immigrants) manager.

Although I guess the Empire players might actually like the idea of using real slave labour to build up their in game status and wealth.

False premise, Frontier is not responsible for the actions of such people.

It's not a false premise, you're missing the point. Gold farmers can have a hugely distorting effect on a game's economy, sticking your fingers in your ears and pretending like they don't exist isn't going to make that not happen.

Elite's economy will probably be a lot more resilient than other games, since there's no crafting, no "ratting" (hopefully), and the game world will take millions upon millions of real time years to fully explore (that part still blows my mind)... but if there's a way, they will find it, and it will affect everyone.
