How Not To Pirate... Take 2

So sometime last year I decided to be a pirate, in that time, I basically failed miserably.
Here's the, now locked, thread. How Not To Pirate.

Fast forward to today, and I'm back, trying to be a pirate.

I've got my Anaconda, painted black (again), I've got Limpets, I've got hatch breakers, but I forgot my cargo scanner.
Anyhow, I'm doing mission piracy, I need to liberate 8 "somethings" from an unsuspecting NPC. I've accepted 8 of these missions, totalling around 8m credits.

I've fly to my target system, and then to the body to find my target. It spawns fairly quickly, and I drop in.
It's just a wanted novice T6. Easy! Right?
...

Wrong.
It's cruising along at about 200m/s, which is plenty fast enough for my Anaconda, unless I lower the cargo hatch.
I send over a few hatch breakers to release the cargo I needed.
He drops useless crap instead, and keeps flying. Spreading the cargo everywhere.
I send more hatch breakers.
More crap.
I lose my cool about, and decide to shut him down.
Target drives, deploy the Packhounds, lock on.
Fire!
Thrusters at 0%.
But now he's tumbling on all 3 axis towards the planets surfaces, getting ever faster.

Great.

I boost to catch up, and try to nudge him so he's not spinning so much, or falling so fast.
All I really do is damage him further.
So I send over more hatch breakers.
And get more crap, spread even further. Loads more, spewing out all over the place. I'm sure it's more than this T6 can possibly hold. But hey.
Eventually, he drops 1 unit of what I need.
I send over a collector.

And my limpet splats it on my windshield.

...
I go to use more hatch breakers....

Annnnd I've run out.

I abandon the missions, and leave the T6 to fall to his death, slowly.

Piracy Attempts: 2
Successful Piracy: 0

Maybe I'm just not cut out to be a pirate.

Two attempts at anything, is not nearly enough to test for aptitude. What makes you a failed pirate, is giving up before you solved the puzzle. I'm ok with that, but this is not any indication that you can't pirate.

To be honest, I've tried more than twice, but these are the two funniest stories. Lol

I've failed at all piracy attempts.
First ever try basically resulted in me accidentally blowing the target to bits.
The second attempt ended with me being chased off by police. Lol

I wish I was English like my hero Tj.
I took a piracy (er, 'rescue') mission last night.

I found the target quickly but realized I had forgotten to stock up on limpets for my hatch breaker.

'Ah well', I thought. 'I'll just mess him up a bit. target the hatch and see what happens.'

Lo and behold my target immediately starts dumping all the hostages he's got. Yay!

Unfortunately I'm manually scooping, so a couple of the hostages wind up splattered on my canopy.

I need 9 hostages and I have 6 on board. [mad]

Ok, I didn't kill the NPC so I'll just find him again and try a second time.

I head back to supercruise and fly around. The mission signal source location pops back up shortly, and I drop in and start shooting up my target NPC again.

He drops useless crap.

I exit and try to drop back into the mission target again.

He drops useless crap.

I try again.

He drops useless crap.

I kill him in anger and fail the mission.

:p

Heh, those missions can be tricky! You need patience and a gentle touch ;)

Alternatively, go for diamonds - the rewards are much better!

I actually only took the missions for the +++rep that comes with them. :p

I'm fine for money, atleast until I unlock the Corvette.
47% to go! Woooooooooooh.
I'll probably have an E-rated Vette, just in time for the Thargoids to smash it to bits. Lol
