Fact file: I’ve been using the handle Manticore online and in games since the 1990’s. I would have liked to use Manticore in Elite Dangerous but the name was either taken or it had something to do with the fact that there is a Manticore Industries faction in game so I couldn’t use my regular handle. During the 2000’s the name got ripped and I had to find an alternative for some registrations so it was Pingmonster.
After a lot of hours in this game CMDR Pingmonster has become a bit of an alter-ego. I did post in the RP Introduce Your Commander thread a short piece with the above title some time back.
Then I thought later about doing some more RP on the Cmdr., but have not had the time. I'm getting around to writing another piece so I thought it was time to get a thread together and take the opportunity to start from the beginning.
Anything in this RP thread will be fiction rather than Cmdr. Pingmonster's specific travels (although they may be referred to at times):
