How rare are main-star black holes?

Just as the thread title says. For some reason I thought main star black holes only appeared on the Galaxy Map in planetary nebula or special cases like Sag A*. But last night I found two within a jump of each other. How rare are they?

It depends on where you are. Out on the rim, pretty rare. But I'm on my way back from a patch below the core where I spent two days farming them. There were generally at least half a dozen visible nearby on the galmap at any time, and I never had to travel more than two jumps to get to the next one.

Filter by star type and uncheck everything except Non-Sequence stars. That will show only Neutron Stars and Black Holes.

Thanks, +1 rep. When I try that I get lots of neutrons, but only two black holes so far. I suppose they must get more common as I travel Corewards. Still haven't seen a white dwarf, Wolf-Rayet or carbon star.

Type In the gal-map
DRYAA FLYUAE LM-W E1-2252
Filter out all star types except non sequence stars
and take a good long look at all those black hole/neutron star systems.
(All thanks to Cdr Dognosh's hard work on his neutron field analysis)

As mentioned white dwarf, neutron, and black holes can be filtered by choosing non-sequence.
I have not yet found a single 0-typE, nor a wolf rayet.
Only a couple carbons, which doesn't pay out very much apparently, which is strange as they seem more rare than WD, or neutrons.

I know few areas where is tons of them, and I have about 500 of them taged. Realistic view is helpfull to locate them over neutrons, in map, they are all just dots as non-sequences. Check the diffrence:

These are about 14k ly from Sol. Check that area for yourself, you will see more than on pic. Too bad for me, I sold that data like day or two before exploration payouts buff.
