How the Development Team Should Approach the Aquatic Update (Mega Thread)

-Underwater DLC
The unknown update, and probably the most wanted. I honestly feel that the team at Frontier trying to make it more harder than it has to be. This is my opinion on the subject and how they can make it happen.

Fences
Fences is probably one of the most important features in this DLC (apart from dinosaurs) and the fact that Frontier has access to the Jurassic World models is incredible. An example of a fence that they should definitely use is the one used in Jurassic World.

Fences should be used to create the tank as well as to divide it into other sections for more aquatic dinosaurs.

Fencing Placement
The fencing placement might be the easiest functionality to add into this update or DLC. Take Zoo Tycoon 2: Marine Mania for example, the underwater fencing and wall placement is simple and easy to use, something that in my opinion the development team shouldn't have any problem with, there's no need to add deeper water into the game but you can have a border fence that when complete makes the enclosure a water tank.

Hatchery and Observatory Placement
Another thing that shouldn't really be a challenge for the developers is the Hatchery and Observatory structures. The fact that you can connect different building into fences is something that should definitely be implemented into the Aquatic Update. New and improved hatcheries for aquatic dinosaurs and new observatories even, we need more variety into the game!!!

Buildings and Structures

*Feeding Show Stage
The feeding show stage is the most relevant and important structure to add if they were to actually have a Aquatic DLC. This stage should be able to have a live feeding show that the player can actually manage, for example, the type of food they give to the Mosasaur, maybe if you use a normal size fish as the bait it won't get much attraction but if you actually give it a real life size shark the place will blow up with spectators but of course one will cost more than the other. The feeding stage should also have way to move up and down so the guess can get a better look at the Mosasaur just like in the movie.

*Underwater Observatory
This is as important as others observatories in your park except this one is underwater. The observatory might be a tricky thing to make but not really, as this can be places on the outside fence just like the other observatories in the park. One example of a underwater observatory is the one used in Jurassic Park:The Game.

*Underwater Tunnel
Last but not least, an underwater tunnel. This tunnel can be approached in many ways but the easiest one is that of real life water parks, it can be entered by a building just like the shelter one but it would have an entrance as well as an exit. This one might not really happen because again, this is a tricky process and probably not really needed at the time.

Underwater Dinosaurs
Ammonite
Dunkleosteus
Liopleurodon
Ichthyosaurus
Mososaurus
Megadolon
Plesiosaur
Tylosaur
Thalattoarchon
Dakosaurus
Elasmosaurus
Geosaurus
Kronosaurus
Plotosaurus
Archelon
Styxisaurus
Pilosaurus
Prostostega
Leptocleidus

This is my list of Aquatic Dinosaurs they should add, I know is too much but these are the closest to the franchise from toys to mobile games.

The End...
This is my first thread to many more so I hope the development team see this and maybe take a loot at some of the features I showed. Thanks :D

I love this. There was another post a few months ago with more concept art that was really brilliant too.

Be it as it may, I think "deeper water" should be an option, even if those enclosures could be linked to another by underwater paths and observatories for visitors: that would allow interactions between the aquatic animals and all those who approach too much to their shores.

Also, having tanks they way you describe adds another interesting gameplay: leaks. Something like "Free Willy", you know: the water begins to filter slowly at first thus endangering your animals but also threatening with some violent crush that could both drawn or having your visitors eaten. Of course, stressed animals could help make that happen by attacking the fence... er... walls ;)

I definitively see the possibilities. Sadly, I think they've stated they want to stick to ground animals and not make JWE shine at all.

The ides alone are actually good. But even if you say these will make it easier, which it can yes, but for big mainstream companies that multitask on their multiple actively worked on video games, Jurassic World Evolution being only one of the others they're making at the sane time, as well many other factors, development for one particular game they have can be slower.

And one point about the creatures, if something like this is planned, its best they would stick with realistic only Mesozoic marine reptiles to make it realistically aesthetic with the film lore alone as that is what their goals are from what I've gathered.

I definitively see the possibilities. Sadly, I think they've stated they want to stick to ground animals and not make JWE shine at all.
They said their current focus is on the land dinos. Should something change along the line, they will announce it so everyone knows.

sigh ...okay, first of all, there's no such thing as "underwater dinosaurs" as dinosaurs are strictly terrestrial... some of the animals on this list don't even classify as reptile. Second, several animals on this list are outside the Mesozoic Era... I know critters like Megalodon and Dunkleosteus are popular, but unless they decide to add Cenozoic or Paleozoic animals, these guys are't happening...

Here's a far more realistic list... perhaps not in terms of size, but definitely plausibility:
